HAVE FAITH IN GOD

Another song that catch my attention in the midst of my work... Lovely song. Let me know if you like to have the MP3, I may email over.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

Words and Music: Geoff Bullock

Verse 1:
Oh Lord you lead me
By the still waters
Quietly restoring my soul
You speak words of wisdom
The promise of glory
The power of the presence of God.

Chorus:
Have faith in God
Let your hope rest on the faith
He has placed in your heart
Never give up
Never let go of the faith
He has placed in your heart.

Verse 2:
Oh Lord you guide me
Through all the darkness
Turning my nights into day
And you’ll never leave me
Never forsake me
The power of the presence of God.

Chorus:
Have faith in God
Let your hope rest on the faith
He has placed in your heart
Never give up
Never let go of the faith
He has placed in your heart.

And the LORD shall guide thee continually...

Just like to share with you all the devotion passage I read today… very touched and first thought it is to blog this to share it… may you also be encouraged by this sharing…

He Shall Guide Us by C. H. Spurgeon (Morning & Evening)

"And the LORD shall guide thee continually."

--Isaiah 58:11

"The Lord shall guide thee." Not an angel, but JEHOVAH shall guide thee. He said He would not go through the wilderness before His people, an angel should go before them to lead them in the way; but Moses said, "If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence." Christian, God has not left you in your earthly pilgrimage to an angel's guidance: He Himself leads the van. You may not see the cloudy, fiery pillar, but Jehovah will never forsake you. Notice the word shall--"The Lord shall guide thee." How certain this makes it! How sure it is that God will not forsake us! His precious "shalls" and "wills" are better than men's oaths. "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Then observe the adverb continually. We are not merely to be guided sometimes, but we are to have a perpetual monitor; not occasionally to be left to our own understanding, and so to wander, but we are continually to hear the guiding voice of the Great Shepherd; and if we follow close at His heels, we shall not err, but be led by a right way to a city to dwell in.

If you have to change your position in life; if you have to emigrate to distant shores; if it should happen that you are cast into poverty, or uplifted suddenly into a more responsible position than the one you now occupy; if you are thrown among strangers, or cast among foes, yet tremble not, for "the Lord shall guide thee continually." There are no dilemmas out of which you shall not be delivered if you live near to God, and your heart be kept warm with holy love. He goes not amiss who goes in the company of God. Like Enoch, walk with God, and you cannot mistake your road. You have infallible wisdom to direct you, immutable love to comfort you, and eternal power to defend you. "Jehovah"--mark the word--"Jehovah shall guide thee continually."

Ushering 2006...

2006 is coming in 6 days time.

How is year 2005? Remembered GR asked this on Friday night. Not a good one, in some important aspects, I told him this.

Focus. Diligent. Personal devotion.

Think the above three is my priority for year 2006. Very vague still, shall spend time on thinking more about those 3.

Wanna to share your resolution/thing you desire to achieve for year 2006? I will be watching your blog. :)

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

The Power and the Glory

THE POWER AND THE GLORY

©1993 Maranatha! Music / Word Music, Inc.
Words and Music by Geoff Bullock

VERSE 1:
This grace is mine, this glory, earthbound heaven sent
This plan divine, this life this light that breaks my night
The Spirit of God, Heaven falls like a dove to my heart.

VERSE 2:
This love is mine, so undeserved, this glorious name
This Son, this God, this life, this death, this victory won.
Forgiveness has flowed as this grace that is mine fills my heart.

CHORUS:
The power and the glory of Your name
The power and the glory of Your name
The power and the glory of Your name,
The name of the Lord, the Son of God.

VERSE 3:
This life is mine, so perfect and so pure, this God in me,
This glorious hope from earth to heaven, death to life.
This future assured and secured by this love in my heart.

BLM dinner

So, here I am back from my supper. Thinking and pondering…

What is BLM Dinner? It is Business Life Ministry Dinner. And it is the first one for Hope Church. Businessmen (and woman I suppose) from Thai and Malaysia also came for this for night of sharing and interaction.

After so long time, I can only vaguely remember a few important things to me… I remember that I was a bit reluctant to go for that, as I am not running my own business, not sure if I should be going for that.

Though that was once I was given few of my colleagues the impression that I run own business in office, and thanks to Sharon for this piece of info. (Note: Sharon is my colleague who sat next to my cubicle, but different company. There are two company in my office, I think I have not mentioned this to you all, or I already told some of you??). I thought to myself that will be very great if I own a business of mine as it is my dream, and I took the opportunity to clear some misunderstanding with her since she brought up this ‘suspicion in office’. I guess now that my boss is back, no one should have doubt about my job in this company ba…

So, just a few days before the dinner, Sandy MSNed me, asked me if I am going. A short chat with her, and I decided I shall go. To dine together with President of Hope Church (To be exact, it is not same table, but same dining room. Ha ha…) and to listen to his sharing about business in view of God’s church was so much a blessing/privilege to miss. So, I shall not shortchange myself with this.

Indeed, that night was a good time. The dinner was very good. Prawn was served. The best part is that these prawns were steam-cooked. Fresh prawn taste best in this cooking style. And only fresh prawn can cook in this manner. And I just love prawn. Mm… I am repeated the same words… Ok. I just want to say the prawns were very good, and the dinner was really a sumptuous one, as Wan Leng mentioned in email.

When I reached there, was surprised that I wasn’t arranged to sit together with Sandy, i tot same CG people will be sitting together. A moment later, I laugh at myself, I wasn't there for 'just another gathering', I should embrance a total different view. I got to sit with some experienced and seasoned business brother (or, should I call them ‘uncle in Christ’.. ha ha.. -.- ). So, over the table, I chat with one Thai couple, young couple (newly wed not more than 2 yrs or 1 yrs), started their business not very long ago, but doing well. Understand from their experiences. Then, to another 2 ‘uncle’, they were already doing business for donkey years. Recently just started another joint-venture doing some trading. They shared about their experience during the economics crisis. And they said it is a miracle that they survive that mave of impact, and it was a God guided wisdom that pulls them thru it. I like one thing they say, ‘God give money to businessman as treasurer, and businessman in turn take good care of minister need.’ I can see that they really enjoy giving church support financially. Well. That is purpose why God bless their business, I thought. (Mm... haven contact them... they may have some material that suitable for my company engineering application... shall give them a call within this week…)

The highlight of the night shall the testimonies share by Thai delegates and Pastor PN’s sharing on business for Kingdom.

It is really amazing that when one trust in God, what can be the outcome of that trust?? It is beyond your imagination. Two testimonies testified that…

Willing to obey God. Seek God. Kingdom minded. Humble. Trusting… These are the thing I learned from the two brothers who share their story. And these are the very thing that required of from a businessman who wants to serve God in this area. Oh ya. One more thing. I recognized also ‘faithful in your current position’ also one of the key.

Pastor PN sharing really give me a lot more passion in my pursue/dream to be a businessman. You know what he introduced? It is this term, ‘Apostolic Businessmen’. WOW. Powerful ministry. To me it is like, upon hearing this title ‘Apostolic Businessmen’, I was stunned. Imagined with me, all the well-to-do, and also the not-well-to-do (businessmen still... right?) businessmen pour in all their financial support to church… powerful. If the Microsoft can go deeply into every PC user pocket/wallet, this business ministry shall aid in expanding the influence of church evenmore than what Microsoft can do!

I am not sure if one day I can be an ‘apostolic businessman’. I only recognized that I shall be faithful in my walk with Him first. The passion and dream of doing business shall come to pass.

Why I like to become a businessman? First, I think I need a lot more financial ability to help myself and my family. Second, I can do more positive impact to society. Thirdly, maybe I just want to do something big in life. :) well. When is Kingdom in picture? Well. Not surprising. The were the reason why I consider this in my secondary school day. Now, you just need to put God in the centre of the picture. I guess. I pray I will stand firm in my word…

I am so deeply convinced that Christian shall play a big role in financial and political landscape (though some Christian may not be agreeable on this), not trying to save the world (the world is beyond human’s help), but maximize the abilities and influences a politician and business have over the personal social circle, and even to nation, change the atmosphere of the nation, make full impact, let the world see the living God behind all these men/women. Let all ‘gentiles’ acknowledge Him and worship Him as Lord.

From fisherman, to policemen, to politician, now it is businessman. I wonder how it can become true. I thought of many possible ways. But only ‘think-ponder-wondering’ stage… no real plan. Only some rough idea. No capital. The only resource, perhaps, I hope it is the networking skills and contacts. So, I shall chart my move more carefully. And let it happen if it is God’s will….

Over slept...

I just wake up from deep slumber… slept from evening to 15 mins ago pm... I missed 2 calls, and when I call back, the call was unanswered. Felt terrible as this phone call was expected tonight. I knew that she needed someone to talk to... terrible of me to just sleep thru the night, though I didn’t want it that way…

I shall go and get my supper first. If I coming feeling ok, I shall share my experience on BLM Dinner, which overdue for more than 3 weeks…

I am tagged...

I am tagged!! What shall I do when someone tagged me? Read the rule below. =)

Rules of the game:
1. Post 5 weird/random stuff abt yourself
2. At the end, list the names of 5 ppl who you want next to this and leave a comment "YOR ARE TAGGED" in their blogs and tell them to read your blog for rules!

I guess this game is pretty interesting, very much like the game Rachel and Mingzhu had planned in of the CG. Well, so, here I am, going to post another 5 ‘little-known’ random facts/stuff about myself. It is pretty amazing that you will never able to finish accounting those weird thing in your life... and it really amuse even yourself...

Here it goes...

1. I jump around at home when I am in happy mood, and the PC also plays my favorite music/song. I will jump and dance around from living room, to bedroom, and to PC room… until my housemate complaint about my ‘insane’ behavior (if they are around…) sometimes they thought I am possessed… One classical piece never fails to key me up is Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel…

2. I got some minor breakthrough in my cinematic experience... I watched ‘Exorcism of Emily Rose’ in cinema!! First attempt to watch this kind of movie… though when I closed my eyes most the time during the night (in movie time), and the movie not very scary, I am quite ok with myself, at least I start somewhere. Next time got some ghost movie references in my life... ha ha. Like doing sales, need some project references… ha ha. Next time I see if I able to watch 'The Ring' (Original 1st episode by Japanese) by myself. My attempt to watch The Ring last time was a total failure, I paused and eject the VCD after it play for about 20 mins...

3. This year, no more people can surprise me with “First one to give me Bday and X’mas present”… my colleague already done tat… but, if u like to be the second I also ok. :)

4. Another thing about me. I think maybe quite a number of people already know. I don’t take chili sauce for fried chicken, or French fries, or any other food… unless the food itself is spicy, or, it must go with chili to maximum its taste… I am deeply under influence of one statement, “It is an insult to chef if you add your own favor to his dish”. Another reason, I prefer to eat as it is, good or bad, so that my taste bud will not be fooled/deceit by chili.

5. 8 or 9 times out of 10, my saliva will overflow to my shirt if I doze off in MRT or bus… nothing I can do, unless, I stay awake the entire ride… so, when you see me doze off again in public transport, focus your attention at your book or look around the road scenery… so that when it overflow, I got time to clear it up before you see it… ha ha..

Ok. Now it is time to ‘arrow’ people… Actually I got little choice... Here it goes: Lawrence, TCC, Sandy, Rachel, Kim, Lee, Wilson, SS…

Opps… it is already more than 5… anyway, who care? He he… I just like to know the little-known fact about my fren for me to laugh about.. ha ha..

Await all of your post…
