My Unchurched Friend

After so long long a period... Today, I felt that I must pen down something and do something about this blog. After all, this blog should not be left abandoned... This blog was inspired for glory of God initially...

As the caregroup embark on this series of learning and sharing on this book "Inside the Mind of Unchurched Harry and Mary: By Lee Strobel"... Personally really benefited from the first few chapter... It really bring me back to those time where I were still a skeptics toward Christianity... And, even those moment of doubts in my initial walk with God... Good refresher for old birds Christian like me...

Today met up with an old friend. Really glad to met up with her again for a good meal... I am really glad that the worst case scenario never happen, and she was right there eating quite happily. She never told me what had happened during that few days where all the hope for life seem bleak... Anyway, I just really gave thanks that she is ok now.

I think it is sort of Divine. And, when I realized it, it is really so Divine... I was really preparing quite hard for the coming CG gathering, and quite familiar with the chapter 3 of this "Unchurched Harry" book... And, what more, the message about Peace of God.. It is like everything that I experienced and learned recently just meant for this night.

I shared about the peace of God, and the resurrection of Christ, and how God can be so real in our life... As usual, once a believer, she is now a skeptic, comments like, "how u know it is true..", "coincidence ba...", "how you feel may not be true..." But, I know tonight is different.

We all have a choice to give thanks and honor God for the good thing He done in our life, or, we can discredit God's honor and make it a coincidence event. We can talk so much about our disbelief in a all-together-good God, but, we could not deny the many testimony of Christian round the globe testified about His sweetness & goodness. We could discredit the story of resurrection, but, we could not overlook the transformed life of disciples who boldly proclaimed about the Risen Christ to their death - they were once just a group of disheartened mens after the death of Christ.

Tonight is different. Tonight the Spirit of the Lord is moving in her heart. I knew it.

I passed her the photocopy note of chapter 3: A Skeptic's Surprise. This note was just meant for her. I challenged her to finish that 10 over pages, and she will be surprised by it. She is convinced.

Lord, watch over this dear friend. Change her heart and turn it toward you. Give her a new heart and give a new Spirit within her. Make her soar on the wing of eagle.

Give thanks in advance for everything.
